At the core of the formula, keratin proteins penetrate the cortex and bond along the hair shaft, replacing the structure that coarse and porous hair naturally lacks. As the flat iron seals the treatment, that keratin builds a medium protective film around each strand, smoothing the cuticle and locking in a glossy, straightened result.
